Illuvium (ILV) is gunning to be the first AAA game in Web3. The initial sale will release 20,000 plots of land out of 100,000 total which is a hard cap. They just announced their land sale which will be taking place on June 2nd, 2022 at 09:00 UTC. Unlike Yuga Labs they will be doing a long duration Dutch Auction to avoid an epic gas war. How to find the next hot NFT
The NFT market might have cooled down a bit but there will always be another project with massive hype. Bankless wrote up a great but long post on this here.
We summarize if you don't have all afternoon:
1) Track your fav NFT collections closely - Collections like BAYC spawn up Mutants, Otherside etc. Think of it like those alien movies where the alien takes over a human host and makes alien babies. How? Twitter and signing up for e-mail updates.
2) Follow the talent - Use apps such as Flip and Context to follow cool wallets. Once you find cool wallets see what these people are collecting and ape right on in. In addition go to Discord and NFT Twitter to seek out new projects. DYOR
4) Stay informed - Easy to say. Hard to do. Read newsletters like Mushroom Alpha, Bankless, Milk Road, etc. Start here: The Daily Ape
5) Luck - Yes you will need it both in timing and in getting into the right project. Similar to dollar cost averaging you have to get into a few projects. Don't bank all your hopes on one.
