Optimism Airdrops Tokens
Optimism a Layer 2 rollup network used to reduce ETH fees and increase transaction speeds has airdropped the OP token. Earlier in April they teased users with the airdrop carrot stick. The team also announced launching a DAO next to the OP token.
Tokens were airdropped to 249K wallets to early adopters yesterday. Demand was massive and the team struggled to get the tokens out to everyone eligible. Users headed to Crypto Twitter to complain about the botched airdrop.
