SBF trying to Low Ball

In the wake of Voyager Digital going bankrupt firms like Sam Bankman-Fried's FTX are trying to score some deals in the discount aisle.

Voyager is calling out a FTX rescue deal as:

• "A low-ball bid dressed up as a white night rescue" per Decrypt.

• "Designed to generate publicity for itself rather than value for Voyager's customers."

• The structure of the deal could threaten the bidding process for company assets.

Ouch! Looks like Voyager is coming out with guns a-blazing in its critique of the deal. Voyager filed for bankruptcy July 5th with a plan for how to return assets to customers and reorganize.

In court Voyager points out issues with the deal:

• Voyager claims FTX "openly disparaged" the company.

• A rescue deal would kill the VGX token which wipes $100M in value.

• Tax burdens for customers wanting to take out cash.

So much for SBF saying he is trying to "help" the crypto ecosystem by trying to bail out companies in trouble. We will keep an eye on the actions of SBF as this bear market unfolds.
