WeWork founder looking for his next rug pull?

Looks like Adam Neumann the co-founder of WeWork is backing a new crypto play in climate change called Flowcarbon. The company picked up $70M to create a carbon credits platform. a16z is in as always. Come to think of it, when was the last time they were not in a crypto round? Moving on.

The company aims to tokenize carbon credits via a marketplace. Buyers aka evil polluting corporations can sleep better at night purchasing the credits from the platform. Think eBay for carbon credits.

The ridiculously named Goddess Nature Token (GNT) will be built on the Celo blockchain and backed by carbon credits. Use cases include tokens being burned as an offset, sold, DeFi, or cashed in for real credit.

Still time to get in on the private sale if you are thirsty. Given what happened with WeWork we are gonna sit on the sidelines for this one.

Jason Robins, the CEO of DraftKings, a betting and fantasy site we spend too much time on is also an avid fan of crypto. On a recent podcast he dropped some wisdom:

1/ We are in the early stages similar to the early internet. Scams were normal and shit was hard to use.

2/ Centralization might make things easier to use in crypto even though this is against the crypto ethos.

3/ DraftKings is exploring crypto payments. We can't wait.
